Just Keep Chugging Along.....

Well it has been a busy first part of the semester if I do say so myself. We have been moving along at a brisk clip and have learned a great deal. This class has helped me step out of my sheltered box of writing experience and has forced me to branch out. It has been painful at times but no pain, no gain. The participation posts have been something that I don't if it has been all that effective. With a bigger class I can see participation being an issue but with the size we have these journals I don't think are helping. Some people do need to speak up more in class but the posts aren't motivating anyone to do more. Unless I have been using these posts in the wrong manner which may be the case since I'm not quite clear on what they were meant for from the beginning of the semester. The the rest of the networking in class is a lot better I think. Peer reviews are good and we have ended up being more closely knit than other writing classes I have been in. Also, having the theme of the class being centered around new media has been a little different. It has made it challenging for me to make all my papers deal with this topic especially when I'm not the most tech savy or faithful Facebook follower. It has kind of taken me out of my zone of thinking but one has to adapt. All I can say is that we just got to keep on moving  forward and enjoy the journey of finishing this class.
