Relevant Title Goes Here

When I first applied to BYU, I had taken enough AP classes and summer college courses to be considered a sophomore (almost a junior). But due to my major and how picky med schools are, none of my credits carried over and I had to start from square one. So in reality, I signed up for writing 150 because of how picky the university is with AP credits and because I had to complete the GE requirement. I actually hate writing... well, hate is a strong word to use. I have very strong negative feelings toward writing….  I am a very science oriented person, and would much rather study biology than write. This may seem a little brutal, but I usually cringe in pain whenever I have to write an essay.
But with that being said, I have actually enjoyed this class a lot. Not because of the essays we have to write, but because of the way classes are carried out. It’s more of an open discussion/debate style of teaching which I think is the most effective way for me to learn new concepts and ideas (the YouTube videos aren't so bad either). And it may not appear this way, but I’m actually an extremely shy person. In fact, the thing that scares me the most in the entire universe is public speaking (even if it’s in front of just 10 people). And this seems weird to most people because I’m not like this in class at all, mainly because this class lets me speak without feeling pressured or judged based on whether my answer is right or not. But with all of those things, the one thing that occasionally gets on my nerves, besides the fact that I’m not the biggest fan of writing, is the participation points. It’s not difficult in any way, shape, or form, but I always forget about it and lose the points week after week. So maybe a reminder here and there to help keep it on everyone’s mind (mainly mine) would be useful.
