We’ve all heard stories of one ‘best friend’ that has more feeling
than just friendship. I have never seen this situation be successful. If it were, I could not think of a better way
to address this predicament than the way Admirer #3 did it. A classy love note that honestly shares what
you’re open to, without sounding needy is the way to go!
Admirer #3 is personable. He doesn’t damage his credibility
like the other admirers do. Their vague, colloquial wording weakens any point
they bring up. The other two sound like they know you from a distance which
implies they like the thought of you, rather than the real you. Although
actions do say a lot about a person, you can’t know what a person is like until
you’ve spent time with them, laughed with them, even hurt with them. It is easy to progress into a relationship if
you have a history that let’s you know it can work.
And, may I compliment the object. Teddy Bear?
Yikes. The chocolates are a step up, but a single rose is simple,
classy, and not overbearing. It’s an
offer: an offer that will most likely be
taken up.
This is so true! You have to learn with someone and laugh with them to really love them. What best way to do that than to be their best friend?
ReplyDeleteVery nice points. I completely agree.
